Racial Injustice

Many of us have watched the events of the last few days in many states of emotions at once. On May 29, 2020, Interim General Secretary Dr. C. Jeff Woods published a letter to American Baptists with a message centered around justice and more specifically, racial justice.

A Call to Reflection

In his letter, Dr. Woods emphasizes the need for the church to prayerfully engage in the hard conversations regarding systemic racism and injustice within our nation and our faith communities.

As American Baptist Women of NYS, we stand in solidarity with those seeking a more equitable and compassionate world. We encourage our members to read the official statement from the General Secretary and seek ways to participate in local efforts toward reconciliation and peace.
